Welcome! Please join me on a learning adventure as we journey through my past two years of study at Dominican University. During my time in the School of Information Science, I expanded upon my basic framework of librarianship far beyond my expectations. I discovered new advocacy tools, technological skills, and the limitless future of libraries.
In this eportfolio you will discover artifacts (documents) supporting specific outcomes of five goals established by the graduate School of Information Science (SOIS) at Dominican University. These five goals were identified to demonstrate competency in far reaching aspects of librarianship and the world in which it operates today. As stated by SOIS, “the student learning goals and outcomes are presented within the broad context of and emphasis on an abiding commitment to the information profession and its core values, leadership, global awareness, service, social justice, and an attention to evolving technologies and media.” Compiling this eportfolio provided me the opportunity to assess, reflect, and organize my experiences, educational learning, and personal perspectives on this profession.
