Mr. Ajaz Mir, the fourth-year graduate student, delivered an online contributed talk at the 64th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics
The title of the talk was "Bispectral analysis of nonlinear mixing in dusty plasma."
In this work, we have studied the effect of strong coupling on Rayleigh-Taylor Instability (RTI). We observe that the growth rate of RTI decreases with increasing Coulomb coupling strength. Our results could be helpful to the fusion research community where RTI is known to be the main spoiler for the energy dumping mechanisms.
The movie shows the effect of strong coupling on Rayleigh-Taylor Instability (RTI). The time evolution is categorized into the following stages:
Linear stage.
Bubble & Spike formation along with Kelvin-Helmholtz instability (KHI).
Nonlinear saturation stage.
Strong Turbulence.
