For visitors: 

Please go through following bullets as you might be planning to visit us. 

1. Prepaid Mobile connections from outside will not work in the UT of J & K. You are advised to convert your prepaid mobile connection(s) to the postpaid during the visiting periods.  While you are in the campus, you may raise your requirement for the guest WI-fi connection for the limited duration of the stay. 

2. Summer is typical to the north Indian weather, with the temperature reaching up to 40-45 degrees Celsius, though the evenings mostly bring soothing winds. In the winter, the temperature goes as low as 1-5 degree Celsius, but the effective temperature seems pretty cold, especially when you look around the snow-covered hills. Please come prepared with appropriate clothes based on the time of your visit. 

3. As the campus is under development, we have limited availability in the transit Institute guest house that is about 9 km away from the campus (10 minutes away). In case you need accommodation, let us know a priory so that the same could be arranged. Please be advised; the hotel rooms can be available at cheaper rates on popular hotel room booking websites compared to what price hotel websites offer directly. Prices for above 3 and 4 star hotels range within 30-60 USD.
