In this project, I was assigned to create a signature logo using Adobe illustrator. Below are the steps into completing.
I first drew three draft sketches to see what specifically I wanted. I knew for sure that I wanted to do a crescnet moon with a whole bunch of sparkle, crystals, and diamond drops hanging all over it and making it luxurious and pretty. As for the text, I did a little research (since I wanted do something fancy yet foreign) and came up with the name "Asrazure". The word is a combination of Asra and Azura, both being of Arabic origin. Asra, meaning "night" and Azure is a vibrant shade of "blue"
After some decent rough drafts, I eventually came up to this as me logo sketch.
The second part of creating this logo involved using a greyscale of black and white to see the shading and lighting in which you would want your logo to turn out. Surprisingly, I completed this in the span of 6 hours with everything in place. I like the design so much that I couldn't help but add more in it to bring some fufillment to it, hence there being more tear drop sparkles and string than in the draft.
When I was given criticism to my logo, the only issue was the font of Asrazure, since it was pretty hard and unnoticable to read. I didn't really have an intention to put in a font so it was meant to be hidden and matching in some way, but eventually I made it work.
These were some of the color drafts I had saved along the way, before the second criticism came. The last one was the colored submission I had as a drat.

The same criticism applies to the color design, I have to find a different font, plus, it was recommended that I change the lighting to more of a yellow tint especially on the dangling jewels, rather than a white in order to help not make the star and sun look too contrasting aginst the blues.
After finding a readable font and adding some yellow into the mix, I was able to create the final piece of Asrazure! To be honest, this was my favourite project out of all of them, i'm quite proud of this one!
