Doing these projects aren't as simple as they look, so I took it upon myself to do some exercises from Adobe
In this Tutorial I used two images to make them more blended. Using the layer mask, I edited to helmet to make the woman more visible

I photoshopped multiple images in to one photo to make it seem more natural and blended. Using the eraser and layer mask tool, I was abe to make the image in to a mroe tropical forest.

In this, I changed the background into a brighter sequence. Using the layer masking tool, I was able to make the background from brown to turquoise.
As you can see, I used adjustment layers in order to create an opposing effect on the photo versus the background. I had the turned the photo from fully colored to balck and white.
I took two images to make them into one, using the screen filter to adjust the red image into the paw. I then use a gradient fill to tint the white area ofthe paw into a blue, that way there's a tint of it while having red overall.
I used the gradient map in this project to give the image a two-tone or duotone effect where the shades are based on the lighting and positions. In my project, blue was the white shade while pink was the black shade in the gradient effect.
