"Only put in your A work". Have a sketchbook compilation because I think I got dinged for not having one. A compilation of bones, anatomy, or animal studies done well can never go wrong. I made many finished pieces so I put them in, but that was not a good idea (I had a full Calarts sketchbook full of good stuff but I mailed that in without taking pictures of things! I cry). No fanart. No anime. Again, try to do things relevant to animation, like concept drawings, character explorations, environment design, etc. I advise against doing freeze frames because everyone can do those. For variety I put in a sculpture of a character. But ideally, you should be putting in an animation reel. From what I saw, perfect-score personal sections all had a short film with character animation.
These five pieces are retrieved from Tawny's portfolio, 10/10 score.
A short animation was also included.
