Sheridan Hills hosts many community events throughout the year to bring our Sheridan Hills students, parents, and teachers together!
Coordinator: Nikki Knudson-Dalal
Summer Playground Play Dates
All Sheridan Hills Elementary School students and incoming Kindergarteners, along with their families, are invited to meet at the school playgrounds from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on selected dates in the summer.
A PTO member and teachers will be on hand to answer any questions about Sheridan Hills. Come meet new friends and keep in touch with classmates!
School Open House
Come in to see your classroom, meet your teacher, and drop off your school supplies.
Student schedules and enrollments are usually posted the Monday before school starts. This includes accessibility and visibility within Parent Vue and Student Vue. If you need a Parent Vue account, please visit the Richfield School District website Parent Vue/Student Vue directions page at https://www.richfieldschools.org/Page/163
The PTO will be available to answer any questions you may have to start your year off right!

Fun Fair
Don't miss the GREATEST community event of the year! Held in April, the annual Fun Fair brings together families and members of our community for a night of games, food, dancing, and exhibits.
Family Movie Night
Come get cozy at our fall and spring movie nights. Held in the gym, family-friendly movies can be enjoyed with popcorn, snacks, and water ($1/ item) or bring your own treats. Don't forget to bring your pillows and blankets!
Did You Know?
You can check the reason for a movie’s rating on websites like Kids-In-Mind and FilmRatings.com. Kids-In-Mind rates movies on a scale of 1-10 for “sex & nudity,” “violence & gore” and “profanity,” and provides examples from each movie. FilmRatings explains the rating system and provides a 25-page PDF that describes each rating.
Family Craft Nights
Enjoy family time decorating seasonal-themed project crafts like pumpkin painting in the fall and gingerbread houses in the winter.
Adopt-A-Park
One Saturday morning in May, Sheridan Hills PTO coordinates a clean-up event for Sheridan Park (the city park just across the street from our school). Everyone is welcome to show their love for our community as we pick-up trash and beautify the area. All supplies and refreshments (donuts, coffee, water, or juice) are provided.
Crayola ColorCycle
Crayola ColorCycle is an amazing new program devised to turn used markers into energy! All around Sheridan Hills Elementary, students and teachers will be collecting used markers that are ready to be discarded. The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more!
Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house – even non-Crayola brands. Drop-off boxes will be located by the office for you or your child to deposit the markers.
