Saddle Up for Success: Discover the Sherburne County 4-H Horse Project!

Do you dream of spending more time at the barn? Are you passionate about horses—whether you own one or hope to someday?

The Sherburne County 4-H Horse Project is where young equine enthusiasts transform their love of horses into real-world skills and unforgettable experiences. It’s more than just riding; it’s a dedicated community focused on "Learning by Doing" with one of nature’s most magnificent animals.

No Horse? No Problem! Your Adventure Starts Here!

We believe that a love for horses should be enough to get you involved. Owning a horse is not a requirement to be a vital member of the Sherburne County 4-H Horse Project!

The "Horseless Horse" Project

This program is specifically designed for youth who are horse-crazy but don't yet own or lease an animal. In the Horseless Horse Project, you can:

Leasing Options

For those who want to experience the hands-on fun of showing, Minnesota 4-H also has a formal Animal Leasing Program that includes horses. Leasing allows you to use a horse that someone else owns for the 4-H year, giving you the full responsibility and experience of having your own project animal for the season.
