Registration for Summer Clinics Now Open!
2026 Clinic Information:
The participation fee for our 2026 clinic season is $50 per youth (Peewee, Junior, or Senior), there is no fee for Cloverbuds. The season clinic fee is due at the first clinic you attend (check or cash, no credit cards).
We will need a copy of your current Coggins test for each horse/mini that will be attending clinics. The Coggins test can be emailed to this email account ahead of time or brought to your first clinic.
The entrance for clinics and trailer parking is off of Orono Parkway. This gate will be unlocked at 6 pm on clinic nights. Clinics will start at 6:30 pm and wrap up at 8:00 pm. If your horse makes a mess in the parking area or walkway, it is important that it is cleared up prior to your departure. This area is used for other activities and no one wants to step in a surprise.
· All riders must wear appropriate riding boots, jeans/breeches, and ASTM/SEI approved protective headgear/helmet, properly worn and ALWAYS fastened when mounted on a horse whether riding or just sitting on a horse at any 4-H functions (see State 4-H Horse Rule Book)
· Each parent/adult is responsible for their child(ren) and their safety. Due to insurance requirements, only 4-H enrolled youth can ride.
· Horses must always be under control. If a group of adult leaders determines that your horse is not under control and is unsafe, you will be asked to tie your horse up until you leave or be asked to get help from an adult or youth.
· No riding horses in the trailer parking area or walkway (grassy area between parking area and arena).
· When riding, the horse must wear a bridle. No riding in halters allowed.
· The state 4-H policy requires that youth have completed 3rd grade to handle horses independently at 4-H events. See Cloverbud policies and rules for youth under 3 rd grade.
· A red ribbon is mandatory to be put on the tail of a horse that could potentially kick.
We are excited to see everyone and their horses soon. Thank you clinics/education committee for your work on this!
