嚴紹恩，2002年出生，台北人。目前就讀國立政治大學法律學系碩士班，在學期間曾赴大阪大學法學研究科交換。

自高中時期起，我便以攝影作為主要創作媒材，長期關注地景與歴史文化之間的交織狀態，以及全球化語境下的身分認同問題。近期作品〈帝國主義與生成擴散模型〉，即使用太魯閣戰爭中所留下的日軍寫真帖為素材，結合AI圖像生成技術，嘗試移除原始照片中的殖民視線，產出新的影像，藉此引導觀者反思「只見番地而不見番人」的理番政策與今日AI所帶來的技術偏見。作品曾在台北、台中、花蓮、大阪、威尼斯等地展出，並曾榮獲洄瀾美展首獎、宜蘭獎入選、NEW WAVE 攝影創作獎、全國學生攝影比賽等獎項。

Yan Shao-en, born in 2002 and originally from Taipei, is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Department of Law, National Chengchi University. During his studies, he participated in an exchange program at the Graduate School of Law, Osaka University. 

Since high school, photography has been my primary medium of artistic expression. My work often explores the relationship between imagery and law, as well as the interplay between landscape, history, and culture. Early projects, such as Abstraktes Gefährdungsdelikt, investigate the power dynamics between the photographer and the photographed. More recent works, like Imperialism and the diffusion model, utilize AI technologies to reinterpret Japanese military photo albums from the Truku War, aiming to deconstruct colonial perspectives and generate new images. This process encourages viewers to reflect on both the "seeing the land but not the people" logic of colonial governance and the algorithmic biases embedded in AI systems. My work has been exhibited in Taipei, Hualien, and Venice, among other locations, and has received several honors, including the Hualien Art Award Grand Prize, the NEW WAVE Photography Award, and top prizes in the National Student Photography Competition.
