The Shasta High Instrumental Program aims to promote a spirit of fellowship and goodwill and encourage our children to be the best ambassadors possible for Shasta High School. We encourage all parents and community members to keep SHIP "afloat" and participate with a yearly MemberSHIP or one of the other SponsorSHIP options.

What does SHIP do during the school year?

  • Relay communications between director/students/parents.

  • Run monthly booster meetings.

  • Install yearly booster board.

  • Install choir liaison.

  • Pay for drum major camp.

  • Organize band camp.

  • Assist with field show.

  • Pay for instrument repair.

  • Create and purchase banners.

  • Purchase music and equipment per request of director.

  • Organize food during musical.

  • Distribute and replace uniform and concert attire.

  • Organize a spring family picnic.

  • Offer community service opportunities.

  • Solicit donations.

  • Organize tributes to graduating seniors.

  • Execute all festival participation.

  • Purchase and distribute all letters and pins.

  • Provide Pep Band at all home football games.

  • Organize pre-game barbecues for students.

  • Oversee student accounts and points system.

  • Create, organize, and oversee fundraisers.

  • Update and oversee the instrumental program website, Facebook page, and Instagram account.

  • Create concert programs, oversee inclusion of Senior bios, student listing, and sponsor recognition.

  • Organize music trips to locations such as Portland, that include a performance and/or music clinic.

The form and your donation can be mailed to Shasta High Instrumental Program, 2500 Eureka Way, Redding, CA, 96001. You may also drop off your donation at the main office at Shasta High School, or hand directly to Mr. Polcari or a member of the SHIP Boosters.
