Volunteer Points
Students have individual accounts, and can earn points.
The point system was established and is administered by the SHIP Boosters, a volunteer organization. The point system supports the SHIP mission statement by assisting to provide students with educational and team building opportunities outside of their immediate community. The point system is not designed to reward volunteers for every single hour worked, our fundraising activities could not sustain that. Many booster activities require countless hours and have been done by individuals with a passion to serve and support the instrumental program at Shasta High School, We wish to maintain this spirit of dedication and volunteerism.
Goals of the point system:
To encourage parent and student involvement and participation in SHIP activities.
To assist students (and their parents) in funding SHIP trips.
To equitably distribute monetary earnings of the SHIP to the students.
