Nightmares and Sunshine is a collection of 11 short stories that were written during or after the lockdown. Each story talks about a particular person and their life before and after the lockdown. Some stories are emotional, some are sad while some are happy. The stories seem to be real life experiences of common people.
The stories are mostly about personal identity and how some people lose their identity for other people and those who are able to build and retain their identity in the world.
The cover is very beautiful and attractive. The language of the book is very simple and good for beginners.
I found the climaxes of many stories too vague and difficult to understand. Most stories left me thinking what will happen next but then the next story started.
My favorite story was “Fifteen Minutes”. This story is about a teacher who always stayed away from other teachers but was very close to the students because she devoted her life to teaching.
The book is 200 pages long and tells us about how different adapted or were affected by the lockdown isolation.
