Social Media Intern
August 2025 - May 2026
I began my internship with the WGST Department as a social media intern, and it has been an inspiring opportunity to grow both creatively and professionally. Initially, my focus was on creating and scheduling posts, capturing events, and maintaining a consistent online presence for the department. As I became more familiar with the role, I took on additional responsibilities, including developing campaign strategies, designing visuals, and crafting content that highlights the department’s mission to advance gender studies and community engagement.
Currently, I manage the department’s social media channels, overseeing digital storytelling from concept to execution, curating content that engages our audience, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize outreach. Collaborating with faculty, staff, and WGST students who are passionate about social justice and equity has been deeply rewarding. Through this experience, I’ve gained valuable skills in digital strategy, community engagement, and leadership, and I’m excited to continue contributing to the department’s online presence while further developing my expertise.
