Social Media and Podcast Editor
January 2025 - May 2025
I started working with Dunn Benefits Solutions as a social media and podcast editor, and it’s been an incredibly meaningful journey. At first, I focused on scheduling posts and helping set up podcast audio. But pretty quickly, I got the chance to take on more, editing full podcast episodes, designing graphics, and writing content that reflects the heart of what Dunn stands for. Now, I helped shape the podcast from start to finish, manage our online presence, and create content that’s both engaging and authentic. I also track engagement metrics and suggest strategies to grow our reach in a way that feels aligned with our values. Being part of a company that genuinely cares about people makes all the difference. I’ve learned so much and continue to grow creatively and professionally every day. I’m excited to see where this path takes me next.
One of the first projects I did for this internship was to edit an introduction video on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. While editing this introduction video, I made an introduction clip for the future podcast videos. I used Adobe Premiere to handle the video editing and Adobe Podcast to clean up the audio. It was my first time using both platforms together on the same project, and it really pushed me to learn quickly and think creatively. I discovered that between the two programs, audio editing in Adobe Podcast prioritizes clarity and background noise removal, while Adobe Premiere allows for more layered and visual integration of sound. This project helped me sharpen not only my technical skills but also my ability to adapt to new tools, manage time across multiple platforms, and ensure brand consistency in both video and audio content.
This is Episode 1 of the podcast, tech me shines through in its polished production. Edited using Adobe Premiere and cleaned with Adobe Podcast, the episode combines crisp visuals with clear, professional audio. The branded intro clip sets the tone for future episodes, reflecting attention to detail and consistency across platforms. Whether watching on YouTube or catching clips on TikTok, the seamless integration of sound and visuals makes the message hit even harder.
Editing Episode 2 was a great learning experience, especially because the interview was recorded over Zoom with Regina and Dunn in separate locations. That added an extra layer of technical detail. I had to balance two different audio and video sources, clean up background noise, and make sure both sides felt cohesive and natural, even though they weren’t in the same room. I used Adobe Podcast to enhance the clarity of each speaker’s voice and Adobe Premiere to sync everything smoothly and create a clean, consistent visual flow. Matching lighting, sound levels, and camera angles as closely as possible helped make the final episode feel like a seamless conversation. It challenged me to pay close attention to detail, and it was really rewarding to see how editing can help bridge the gap between remote recordings and polished, professional content.
Here are some behind the scene action of me setting up the podcast
Instagram Posts
Creating Instagram posts for Dunn Benefits Solutions has been a fun and creative part of my internship. I use Canva to design graphics that are clean, on-brand, and easy to engage with. Whether it’s promoting services, sharing tips, or highlighting team updates, I focus on making each post visually appealing while clearly communicating the message. Canva’s templates and design tools have helped me build confidence in layout, color choice, and typography, and I’ve learned how to maintain a consistent brand aesthetic across different types of content. It’s been a great way to combine creativity with strategy.
Facebook Posts
Designing Facebook posts for Dunn Benefits Solutions has allowed me to focus more on informative, longer-form content that connects with our audience on a deeper level. Unlike Instagram, where visuals take the lead, Facebook gives me space to write more detailed captions that explain our services, share updates, or provide helpful insights in a clear and approachable way. I use Canva to create graphics that are professional but still friendly, making sure they grab attention while supporting the message. I’ve enjoyed learning how to tailor content specifically for Facebook’s format and audience, balancing clarity, tone, and design to keep things engaging and useful.
