My goal is a pursuit in the aerospace industry. My area of study will generally include the development, manufacturing, and maintaining a variety of aerial systems. What inclined me to enter this career field was appreciating the amazing technology of modern aerospace projects at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The engineering and design processes behind producing such aircraft fascinated me. In the future, Aerospace technology will be extremely prominent sources of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaisance (ISR). Though I have many interests, Aerospace engineering is a career field I’ve had personal experience with.
In order to trail a career in Aerospace engineering I've taken steps towards my goal. Currently, I work for Render Security Engineering LLC, a veteran owned small business that provides IT and engineering services to government and commercial clients. As a mechanical engineer intern, I’ve worked with other engineers to develop a series of contracted and non-contracted aerospace projects. These last few months have provided an immense amount of practical modeling experience.
I've taken Engineering classes at the Dr. James A Forrest Career & Technology Center for a two year course. The engineering course has given me the necessary rudimentary knowledge to open the gates for an engineering career. This involved problem solving with a team, the engineering design process, and designing processes that include math, science, and technology.
Extracurricular activities I've undergone are Robotics club. Robotics club had an initial influence of making me familiar with the technology field. In the course I worked with a team, programmed a robot to run specific actions, solved many mechanical and technological problems, and innovated new ideas and concepts for the maximization of efficiency.
After high school my immediate plans are striving towards an undergraduate program at the A. James Clark School of Engineering, UMD. Ideally I will take a four year program there to acquire a bachelor's degree, then further my education. Succeeding my Mechanical Engineering education, I aim for employment through local aerospace corporations (Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, NAVAIR).
My field will further advance the technological superiority of the United States. In my individual efforts I believe I can make a reliable change that will bring excellence to the Aerospace engineering community.
