Version 1
My project includes a logo design created with the Laguna Laser | MX. This design serves as a decoration an individual could use in many areas. This design could be used as a company’s emblem, a logo representing something, and additional furnishing to a room. Though designs similar to these have been made to serve the same purpose, this logo is specifically unique to my own branding. Many things constitute the influence of this design. The name is mostly influenced by Dr. Gregory Herd; known as the marvel villain Shadrac or Override. In a more complex context, Dr. Gregory Herd’s villain name is also a reference to the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, where three Hebrew men were cast into a furnace but didn't burn due to their strong belief in god(this is why my logo has a flame). (This biblical story is also the origin of my own name. )
VCarve
This final design for this project was created in VCarve through a process called bitmap tracing, a process that creates vectors based on the objects in an image.
RDworks
The RDworks program was used to create toolpaths for the Laguna SmartShop Lazer.
This was the final product of the original design. This design was created engraved from Birchwood, then laser cut along the outer edge. The entire engraving process took less than two minutes.
