AutoCAD

AutoCAD can be defined as the use of computer systems to assist in the creation, modification, optimization of a design. In this, we can create both 2D and 3D drawings used in construction and manufacturing. It was developed by John Walker in 1982 with the help of AUTODESK and maintained it successfully. It is most commonly used for creating and modifying 2D & 3D designs for professional drafting with detail measurement information about the conceptual design and layout of the product

Step 1 - Tan, Tan, Radius

This step required the use of the circle tool in two different ways. The first part was to create the three smaller circles with the CenterPoint, Radius variation. to connect the three smaller circles by tangency points to a larger circle, required the Tan, Tan, Radius variation of the circle tool.

Step 2 - Offset

This step required the trim tool and the offset tool. The trim tool was used to trim the inner lines of the design. The offset tool was used to duplicate the outer edge inward.

Step 3 - Polygon & Polar Array

This step required the polygon tool and the polar array tool. The polar array tool makes replicas of equal distances around a center point based on how many items are in the array, this array has 6 items. A polygon with 6 equal sides was created and aligned with the other designs to connect them.
