HeartWork aims to empower youth to engage seniors in workouts virtually. The serves as a platform to reconstruct volunteer-led workouts to achieve equal engagement as the face to face counterparts.
Folk songs will be used as dance music for nostalgia and familiarity. These half an hour sessions introduce a new song every session, and simple moves that are designed by volunteers with experience in physical training.
Get active with seniors! Although we are unable to visit seniors, we can still do virtual Zoom-based exercises with them!
Warming up gives the body a chance to move the blood into your muscles and also warms up the joints and lubricates them so they're ready for action! We will be doing 2 counts of 8 per movement!

Cooling down after your workout allows for a gradual recovery of preexercise heart rate and blood pressure. Cooling down may be most important for competitive endurance athletes, such as marathoners, because it helps regulate blood flow!
