I am a political scientist in the DFG research group Reconfiguration and Internalization of Social Structure at the Institute for Empirical-Analytical Research at Goethe University Frankfurt, and I am affailiated with the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality" at the University Konstanz, where I worked for over 10 years. I serve as spokesperson of the standing group on elections and political attitudes of the German Political Science Association.
I specialize in political behavior, political inequality, political socialization, public policy, and applied methods. My book "Education Systems and Political Inequality - How Educational Institutions Shape Patterns of Political Participation", forthcoming with Cambridge University Press, showcases my expertise in these fields.
