Leaders

The St. Frances de Chantal Young Teen Group Leadership Team is a fully volunteer core group of high school seniors to young adults. All leaders are active Catholics with, at least, a basic knowledge of catholic theology studies. Each are required complete an annual 8-week extensive leadership training in order to qualify to lead each upcoming year. All Leaders adhere to the Archdiocese's of New York Safe Environment regulations. Leaders are either Safer Spaces certified, if 17 years old, or completed V.I.R.T.U.S training, those 18 years or older. All leaders, regardless of age, are First-Aid trained.

Sarah Trosa

Hey everyone! I’m Sarah, the coordinator of the Young Teen Group. I’ve been part of this group in one form or another since 2009. I started as a member and loved what this group stood for so much that I decided to apply for leadership. I’ve been a leader for nine years and the coordinator for four. This group has been a constant place of joy for me and I’ve been honored to meet so many wonderful people through it. I hope that continues with this upcoming year and that you are one of the people I get to meet. Hope to see you around!

Hey YTG! I am so incredibly excited to be back with the Young Teen Group for Year 12! This group has always been a huge part of my life. I have always loved challenging members to see things from different perspectives and creating a safe space to share thoughts with each other. YTG is not just a youth group, it's a family. And it's a family that I am so happy to be a part of. This year will be our best year yet. I'll see you there!

Meagan Rivera

Hi everyone! I can't believe we are starting year 12! I have been a part of the Young Teen Group since it started in 2009 and this will be my eighth year returning as a leader. Wow! What a journey it has been! I truly love this group, this family, and I am blessed to be a part of it. My Catholic faith is a very important part of my life. In being part of this group, it is my hope that I am able to share my faith with teens starting to discover their relationship with God and help them to keep the faith. I want to give back to this group because it helped shape the person that I am today. I'm looking forward to all that we have planned for year 12. I'm excited to see all of our returning members and all those new faces joining our YTG family this year!

Delon Dusaj

Hi Guys! I'm Delon and this will be my fourth year in the group. I currently am a junior at Iona College in New Rochelle majoring in Criminal Justice. I also love to partake in community theatre. I started off as a member my first year in this group and became a leader my second year. Year 11 was such an amazing year for the group and I hope Year 12 surpasses that.

Joseph Trosa

Hey YTG family! I'm Joey and this is my first year as a leader! I am so excited to work with everyone and make Year 12 the best year ever! I joined the group in Year 7 and was a junior leader in Year 11. This group has always played a major role in my life, and I can't wait to see everyone again!
