2024 artworks

This year, I haven't been very creative. Here I've uploaded a few detailed sketches and on-paper pieces. The main theme this year is nature. I shifted from anthropocentric compositions to nature-centric pieces. It might come from an identity crisis, from the desire to be more connected with non-human aspects of life, or from the desire to contemplate the experience of life; I can't say for sure.

An interesting project I've been working on is a tarot deck. I'm not a big believer in tarot as an instrument for predicting the future. I view it as a fascinating instrument that can get us unstuck when we fall into an analysis paralysis. Looking at pictures and reading the keywords and interpretations, we can stumble upon a new idea or a feeling. And also, for me personally, it is fun. My cards will be hand-made. I'm drawing my designs based on the classic Rider Waite deck or based on my associations and inspirations, exploring my mind in the process. You can look through the cards below ♡

Портрет на заказ. Буря эмоций. Эта работа, как и каждая работа, на первый взгляд кажется уже привычной в моем стиле, но одновременно я вижу в ней нечто новое: насыщенность и отточенность стилистики.

Это закат и закатное небо с большими облаками. Это скалистые и не очень горы, заросшие цветами и травами. Это огромные маки с нежными лепестками и яркой праздничной, украшенной сердцевиной. Это яркая оранжевая и розовая рудбекия, колокольчики; вифлеемские звезды (gagea lutea), которые я увидела впервые этой весной и они теперь не покидают меня, словно это мои звездочки, направляющие меня на пути. Здесь энотера двулетняя и ночная красавица/мирабилис, которая распускается всегда к вечеру.

И растения, которые я увидела буквально пару дней назад, застывшие, высохшие уже осенние травы, оставившие лишь свои силуэты. Проступающие на небе звезды; спрятанные животные, летящие, прыгающие, идущие к зрителю. В глазах динамика спокойствия и силы, спокойствия и внутренней энергии. Глаза блестят и в каждом из них словно свое яркое оранжевое закатное солнце. Мне кажется даже голубой цвет здесь получился теплым, согревающим. Апельсины и лимоны, осенне-зимние

Я нарушила симметрию. Симметрия яснее всего когда она слегка нарушена. Ещё поняла, что симметрия и замьюченный патерн в центре это идеальное сочетание с бурной и яркой рамкой - окружающей реальностью.

Tranquility in lilies

I love lilies. In my mind they are connected with memories, softens, and quietude. This peace takes you to a forest, filled with ethereal blue lilies with almost transparent leaves. The light bounces around and creates magical shadows. Breathing in the floral sent, you relax and notice how the reflections are dancing on your face. You wonder ‘how long have I been here?’, but it doesn’t matter, because you just want to take in this feeling of peace. You find peace of mind, that you were looking for. Leaving the forest, you can return to your daily life; but you will forever have this quite place inside your heart.
