We are mostly active on Instagram! Through Instagram, we have connected with many mental health pages and expanded our own views regarding how eating disorders may tie to mental health. Our target audience is of the younger generations, reaching people from the age of 15 to the age of 30! When we began the account in October, we hit the ground running by doing a 7 week crash-course on different types of eating disorders and their ties on mental health. While we weren't able to cover all of the eating disorders present, here, on our website, our media still managed to reach over 20 thousand viewers at one point! After those 7 weeks, we focused on the protective and risks factors and now we've moved on to our 30 Day Journal Prompt Calendar and 4 Week Challenge Calendar for National Eating Disorder Awareness Month!
Our content mirrors throughout all of our social media! We believe that TikTok is a platform where we can be more creative in regards to video form! While we have only recently jumpstarted our TikTok, we hope to create relatable yet informational videos for everyone! Through TikTok we have reached over 50 thousand people!
Everyone loves Pinterest, so we decided to post our content here! Many times people will create vision boards for their new year or even mood boards for certain "aesthetics". Our hope is that through posting on Pinterest, people will become better informed and not glamorize the eating disorder "lifestyle". While this page is a much more passive page compared to our others, we have reach over a thousand viewers at our peak in December!
We have posted video versions of our podcast on YouTube! In these episodes we discuss our own experiences regarding our relationship with food. Our second episode features a guest, who is also one of our closest friends and her relationship with food. We had initially planned to release an episode a week, but with hectic schedules and inability to schedule episodes with other guests as their schedules were also full, we opted to focus on our Instagram and our TikTok in the meantime! We hope to pursue more podcast episodes this coming month as it is National Eating Disorder Awareness Month!
This is the platform we use to upload the audio-only version of our podcast!
Facebook is an amazing platform to reach older audiences and that's exactly what we did! With the help of our school, our Facebook page has reached parents throughout our school and even throughout our city!
