Yandina station opened in 1890, as the line’s terminus until it was built from the station to Cooroy. On 11 August 1988, the line was electrified from Nambour to Gympie North.
Yandina station is named after the homonymous town of Yandina which was named after the Yandina pastoral run.
Yandina consists of only one platform and it is used by services travelling in both directions. There is a passing loop opposite the platform.
Yandina station only has one entrance which is from the carpark on Railway Street.
Yandina station doesn’t have any disability access.
There are bus stops nearby on Railway Street serving nearby suburbs. The route serving Yandina is route 631 from Nambour to Noosa Heads however it is not timed to connect with train services.
