I visited International Terminal station on 13 September 2017.
It is located on the Airport line and is served by all train services travelling between Domestic Terminal and Roma Street with many continuing to Varsity Lakes. International Terminal station is the penultimate station along the Airport line. International Terminal station is located 16.7 km from Roma Street and the approximate travel time is 24 minutes.
Special fares apply when travelling to International Terminal as the line is privately owned by Airtrain Citylink Limited and it'll be passed to Queensland Rail ownership in 2036. The fares from International Terminal to Roma Street are:
Due to the higher fares and that I can't use my pass at this station I didn't catch a train. Instead I caught a shuttle bus from uni to Toombul Shopping Centre. Then I caught the 590 Toombul to Mount Gravatt bus which stops at Skygate. From Skygate there is a free transfer service to the terminals.
International Terminal station was opened on 5 May 2001 at the same time as the line. It was named as it serves the International Terminal of Brisbane Airport.
International Terminal station has two platforms consisting of an island platform. Brisbane City and Gold Coast services depart from platform 1 and Domestic Terminal services depart from platform 2.
The station entrance is connected to an elevated walkway into the International Terminal.
International Terminal station does have disability access.
The station is located on an elevated viaduct with the rest of the line.
