I visited Domestic Terminal station on 13 September 2017.
It is located on the Airport line and is served by train services travelling to Roma Street with many continuing to Varsity Lakes. Domestic Terminal station is the terminus station along the Airport line. Domestic Terminal station is located 15.2 km from Roma Street and the approximate travel time is 28 minutes.
Special fares apply when travelling to Domestic Terminal as the line is privately owned by Airtrain Citylink Limited and it'll be passed to Queensland Rail ownership in 2036. The fares from Domestic Terminal to Roma Street are:
Due to the higher fares and that I can't use my pass at this station I didn't catch a train. Instead I caught a shuttle bus from uni to Toombul Shopping Centre. Then I caught the 590 Toombul to Mount Gravatt bus which stops at Skygate. From Skygate there is a free transfer service to the terminals.
Domestic Terminal station was opened on 5 May 2001 at the same time as the line. It was named as it serves the Domestic Terminal of Brisbane Airport.
Domestic Terminal station has two platforms consisting of an island platform. As Domestic Terminal is the terminus trains coming from and travelling to Brisbane City and Gold Coast use both platforms.
There is one station entrance which links to the overhead walkway leading to the Domestic Terminal.
Domestic Terminal station does have disability access.
The station is located on an elevated viaduct with the rest of the line.
