Objective: To improve the professionalism of career teachers and counselors using DACUM, and to give practical and policy suggestions to support hard/soft infrastructure to operate effective career education programs

This study aimed to develop accreditation indicators for the career experience agencies’ accreditation system in order to provide students of safe and qualified learning environment with more career experience agencies engaged. Delphi and AHP(analytic Hierarchy Process) technique were conducted for this research questions. Each of three researchers, career specialist teachers and staffs from career experience support center participated as expert panels and the survey was conducted three times between 8th Nov and 28th Dec in total. In result, the accreditation indicators for career experience agencies were developed and the mark distribution for each category was confirmed. The accreditation indicators consists of ‘1). career experience agencies’ and ‘2) programs.’ In case of ‘1)career experience agencies’, sub-areas were divided into a. ‘career experience agency capacity’ and ‘b. career experience environment management and ’c. special criteria for career experience agencies‘. In case of ‘2) programs’, the sub-areas were divided into ‘a. program planning , ‘b. program operation . ‘c. program evaluation .

This study aimed to explore policy tasks related to the expansion of school career education infrastructure by operating boundary analysis. a content analysis and a network analysis were conducted with 42 journals and research reports published on the expansion of school career education infrastructure from 2007 to 2017. Policy tasks for the expansion of school career education infrastructure were as follows. At the national level, actualizing career education laws and school career education objectives, building a solid cooperation system with related institutions, developing and distributing school career education contents, expansion of career education information service were needed. At the local level, building a solid cooperation system with local community agencies, expanding of career education program focused on specialized industries in the area, strengthening of cooperation with schools were derived. At the school level, strengthening participation of school members to career education program, enlarging the number of school career teachers and enhancing their expertise, implementing career education programs for parents, expanding space for career education were drawn.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the duties of the Elementary School Career teacher by applying the DACUM task analysis technique. In order to achieve the goal, we analyzed the development characteristics of elementary school students, the career education objectives of elementary school, and the former research related to career teacher. Based on the analysis of DACUM tasks, we have drawn out the duties and tasks of our career teacher and weighed down the importance of each task. For the DACUM job analysis, we organized one task analyst, nine subject matter expert, three staff members, and two practitioners and hold a DACUM workshop on the 25th of July, 2017. The results of the study are as follows. First, defining the job of an elementary school career teacher as ‘to develop basic career development skills necessary for a happy life, elementary school career teacher is responsible for organizing, operating, and evaluating school career education courses and supporting the career education of teachers’. Second, there are eight duties (organizing/planning school career education curriculum, career education (unit) program design, career education information support, operating psychological examination, career counseling support, career experience management, strengthening teacher/parent career education competency, evaluation and feedback of career course operation results) and the total number of tasks according to eight duties is 48. Third, as a result of evaluating the importance of each task, 20 core tasks were derived. Fourth, the opinions about the general knowledge, skills and attitudes required for elementary school career teachers were collected and presented. Therefore, nine knowledge and fifteen technologies were derived, also a desirable attitude was derived from the recommended attitude.
