Before taking the IT-CSS program my experience with Microsoft applications was simple and basic.
research and watching YouTube videos to find methods that can be easily understood. I started writing technical writings to help me understand my notes.
Researching is endless and enlightening because there is so much to learn from others and seeing what method works for you.
You have to be aware of your audience because that is what will help you understand what type of level of support they need. It might be difficult if you are working with non-tech savvy people but keeping it, basic and limited IT verbiage will help and some empathy.
I love doing technical writing. The more I use graphics to help a person understand how OneNote or what this command does, or how this feature or install works keeps me motivated to continue keeping my technical writings up to date.
I like showing others how to understand something on a very basic level so they can be empowered to improve their skills or build their knowledge base.
I keep learning something new or finding a different approach to explaining my method to help others understand.
Using it on a daily basis keeps it new and using it is important, so I am always happy to utilize it as much as possible.
