Activities:
Problem-solving is the act of finding a solution when a method for a solution is not obvious. It can be story problems or simply open-ended questions. Take notes on ideas, outcomes, and predictions.
When possible, use hands-on tools or examples. Following a structured method like a basic scientific method will help. Always keep these questions in mind: What? Why? How? What if? What about?
Question 1: What floats on water? Ice? A paper clip? A rock? A plastic toy?
What happens to these objects over time? Does stirring the water often make a difference?
Question 2: What helps me fall asleep faster at night? Music? Reading before bed? Listening to an audiobook? Watching my favorite show?
Question 3: What kinds of foods do I like from most to least? Ice cream? Carrots? Lettuce? Spaghetti? Eggs? Banana? Peanut butter and jelly Sandwich? Macaroni and cheese? Pizza?
