Some of the terms will not be known to the aikidoka but have been included to aid individuals in furthering their knowledge and understanding of aikido. Although this list of terminology, is quite comprehensive, several omissions have been made, which are included in the syllabus section. At first glance, this list might appear quite formidable to the novice but s/he is advised to make an effort to study and understand the various terms and phrases. Perseverance is a discipline in which the student will eventually reap the benefit of their troubles and experience the spirit of Aiki. As a rough guide use the syllable to pronounce the words.Â
