1974 Medalists Results snd Team Scores

1974 was the inaugural girls' championship.  This consisted of only 9 events; there was no 500 freestyle.  In addition, there was a 100 IM instead of the 200 IM, a 50 fly instead of the 100 fly, a 50 back instead of the 100 back, a 50 breast instead of the 100 breast, and a 200 free relay instead of the 400 free relay (The 200 free relay would not be a regular event until 1991).  The boys meet had the customary 10 events of the time. 

It is not certain how many places were scored.  

Beginning in 1974, the 500 freestyle replaced the 400 freestyle in the regular order of events.  

From 1973-1979, Non-Public Schools were not permitted to enter the championship.  

Medalists Results, as well as a few extra relay results, have been preserved.  Full Results have not been saved.
