The Village Hall is a registered charity and could not run without the assistance of a significant group of people. Volunteers ensure the smooth running of groups and events; including helping at one-off events, and running social groups.
For those who might be interested, there are plans to increase the organisational role of volunteers who do not wish to be on the committee.
If you would like to help and support your community by becoming either a Trustees, Associate, or volunteer of the Village Hall then please contact yvonne.srvh@gmail.com.
Village Hall volunteers include a group of Trustees, Associates, and other non-committee volunteers to keep the hall running.
Trustees ensure that the Village Hall is professionally governed and managed. Duties include maintenance of the hall (such as repairs, cleaning and purchasing equipment), Health and Safety, fire safety, managing finances and other legal duties, such as reporting to the Charity Commission.
Associates are members of the Village Hall committee, but they are not full Trustees. They help to guide and support the running of the Village Hall.
Non-committee volunteers help out at events, such as the monthly Social Saturdays, and with other important tasks including helping to advertise events, and cleaning.
Thank you to all current and past Associates and volunteers. Without your help we could not keep the Village Hall open.
As the Village Hall is a registered charity we need to raise funds throughout the year in order to keep the hall running. Funds are raised by:
Bookings for private events such as groups and classes
Events ran by the Village Hall committee, such as monthly Social Saturdays and the Harvest Supper.
The 150 Club lottery
Donations
Grants
Thank you to all current and past event attendees and donors. Without your help we could not keep the Village Hall open.
