TEACHING STAGES
Review:
The teacher revisits the previous lesson, shapes (Bentuk-Bentuk: Lingkaran, Segitiga, dan Persegi), asking students about how many sides are there in each shapes.
Motivation:
The lesson begins with a prayer lead by the students, followed by playing a song-letting them jam along the music.
Presentation:
The teacher introduces the lessons through a song connected to the topics (Greetings, Introduction, and Sound of Farm Animals)
Discussion:
The teacher inform first the students that they will be having a Bahasa Indonesia-to-Bahasa Inggris class. Them, the students were engaged in expressing their words as they took turns in greetings each and every one in the classroom and introducing themselves in the English language.
The students were engaged in identifying and recognizing the English words and sounds for each given animals. As a support the teacher made his own flashcard with embossed picture of the animal and a braille closed caption for reading.
Generalization:
The teacher concludes his lesson by greeting and introducing themselves to the class together with the teachers' fellow intern and buddies.
The teacher summarizes the lesson by asking students to recall the name of the animal being played the teacher through his laptop, and vice versa. This reinforces their learning and ensures understanding.
Evaluation:
The teacher concludes the lesson by assessing students' ability to identify the names of farm animals, mimic their sounds, and recall key phrases used during greetings and introductions. For homework, students are tasked with a life-long task, to practice the English language with their peers. With that, they will not just increase their knowledge in the english language but also build a relationship with their peers, and grow their social skills.
