Rules and Guidelines

Students are welcome to submit multiple entries, but are limited to one entry per art category. 

Dance Choreography

• If background music is used, please provide citation at the "Details" section of the entry form.  

Film Production

• If background music is used, please provide citation at the "Details" section of the entry form.

Literature

• Please include the total word count at the "Details" section of the entry form.

• Number each page and do not have student name on the front of any pages.

Music Composition

• List musician(s) or instrumentation at the "Details" section of the entry form.

Photography

• List dimensions (i.e. 8" x 10") of your work at the "Details" section of the entry form.

Visual Arts

• List dimensions (i.e. 8.5" x 11") of your work at the "Details" section of the entry form.

• Accepted file formats: JPEG, JPG, and PNG.  No PDF in this category.

• For 2D art, please do not include student name on the painting / drawing, etc.

Accessible Arts Division

Every entry must include a title and artist statement (10-100 words).

Interpretation of the Reflections theme is very important during the evaluation process.  Students may want to consider giving their submissions a title that stands out and describes how the piece relates to the student's personal interpretation of the theme.

The following guiding questions can be useful when developing a title and artist statement:

• How does your work relate to the theme?

• What is your personal connection to the theme?

• What did you use to create your work (e.g. supplies, technology, instrumentation, prop, etc.)?

• What/who was your inspiration?
