Award of Excellence
Accepting Imperfection: I did a mix of acro and Chinese folk dance and used red ribbons in my routine. I got my inspiration from the Red Cross because they help people when times are tough, even when things don’t always go perfectly. The music is a Chinese song called "Where is Spring?" It makes me think of new beginnings and hope. In my performance, I missed a few moves, but I stayed calm and kept dancing. This shows that it’s okay to make mistakes. This dance taught me that trying my best is what matters most!
Congratulations to Alexandria Tam for winning Award of Excellence (1st place) at the Torrance Council PTA level (all TUSD schools). Her entry was advanced to compete at the 33rd PTA District level, against many school districts in LA County, and she won Honorable Mention (3rd place)!
Award of Excellence
Nobody is perfect. It is absolutely okay to be different. Don’t be ashamed of the problems you have because you are unique.
I have some problems in my skin. People tell me I am not perfect like others. But I don’t blame myself. I go to school like other girls ,do the same things. It is not my fault that I am not perfect. So I accept my problems and I think I am okay to be different.
Award of Merit
