Award of Excellence
I wrote "Wobbly Rainbow" about making a rainbow that wasn’t perfect. The lines were wobbly, but my teacher said it was okay. It’s about trying my best and being happy, even if things aren’t perfect. My poem shows that it’s fine to be different and make mistakes.
Congratulations to Austin Hsiang for winning Award of Merit (2nd place) at the Torrance Council PTA level (all TUSD schools).
Award of Excellence
My work relates to the theme because it is about a boy who wants his drawing to be perfect. But another guy explains you should accept your imperfection. And he also explains Art does not have to mean something. It can also express your feelings.
Award of Merit
Everyone is imperfect in some way and that is A-Okay as long as you accept your imperfections, focus on what your heart desires, and do what makes you happy. My essay talks about people who accepted their imperfections to achieve something great!
Award of Merit
The first time I tried pull over in gymnastics, I couldn't even get my legs to touch the bar but then as I kept practicing I got my pull over. I accepted imperfection and kept practicing.
Honorable Mention
The Santa Clause's life is a little different from how people normally imagine. He enjoys his special life. Even though he is way different from normal Santa, let's accept this specialty.
Honorable Mention
My story connects to the theme because the character accepts not being perfect by learning that he isn’t perfect. Accepting imperfect isn’t bad, it’s good, it helps you work harder to get better.
