Award of Excellence
Frida Kahlo was a world-famous Mexican artist and she inspired my art. The theme for the contest is accepting imperfections. Frida Kahlo had a unibrow and her legs were not the same length. Many people thought that she looked weird. Frida would not let that stop her. She knew that she was beautiful on the inside and eventually, the world saw that too. Frida Kahlo accepted imperfections and became a world-famous artist!

This sword and shield might not be perfect, but that's what makes them special! They show that being brave doesn’t mean being flawless. Just like us, they have rough edges and unique shapes that make them stand out. The shield protects, and the sword stands strong, reminding us that even when things aren’t perfect, we can still be courageous and strong in our own way. Remember, every scratch and bump tells a story of bravery, just like our own little adventures every day!

Some kids say I am not athletic enough, not fast enough, not tall enough, or not fun enough and many other things that I may not be good at. But that's ok. As long as I always try to do my best in everything I do and don't stop learning, I am perfect as I am today and I will be perfect as I am tomorrow.
Honorable Mention
I love my fisheys. They are cute. Sam the fish princess is going to the left and Fred the fish prince is going to the right. Fred is singing and Sam is listening. Even though they are swimming in the opposite direction they are best friends. My fishes are swimming in beautiful water. I tried my best to make them 🙂. I made them very colorful but they can be better. One is fat and the other is not. Some colors are accidentally out of the lines but that is okay, I still love them soooo much 😀
Honorable Mention
I have made a painting on 8 x 11 canvas using acrylic paint. I am passionate about creating art. I got inspired to make this from my stargazing trip. I think my painting is related to the theme Accepting Imperfection because I can see it is not perfect, but it still looks beautiful and self-explanatory. I also think this is best of mine so I am personally connected to this as well.
Participant
I want to draw a bird, mom and sister think it's a bear, it's okay. Dad thinks it's a bunny, it's okay. Other people can think anything and I am okay. I say it can also be a butterfly if someone wants it to be. My drawing is perfect the way it is to whoever is looking at it.
