The Southeast Asia Evidence for Policy and Partnership (SEA-EPP) was founded on the recognition of a critical need: to bridge the gap between research and policymaking in Southeast Asia. We understand that policymakers grapple with complex issues that have far-reaching consequences. At the same time, researchers often struggle to ensure that their valuable findings are translated into practical policy solutions. SEA-EPP aims to address this disconnect by facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing, and informed decision-making.
Our journey began in 2017 with informal collaborations between passionate individuals committed to evidence-informed policymaking. SEA-EPP emerged as a platform to strengthen these efforts, fostering dialogue and partnerships between researchers and policymakers.
Our vision is to build a culture of evidence-informed policy decision-making that leads to more effective, equitable and sustainable policies that improve the lives of people in the region.
Our goals are to
Cultivate a dynamic, inclusive network that is responsive to evolving societal challenges.
Partner with key stakeholders to embed evidence-informed policymaking into the institutional fabric of the region.
Raise awareness of research and activities in evidence-informed policymaking in the region.
