In accordance with the K-12 curriculum in the Philippines, which encourages teachers to be creative and innovative, educators make use of the learning materials available in the school library, most of which are government-published textbooks. In addition, teachers integrate technological advancements into their teaching by preparing and presenting learning media, such as images displayed through LCD projectors and sound systems, to enhance student engagement and understanding.
Teachers use a variety of assessments to evaluate student performance. Cognitive assessment is used when students successfully answer questions, complete tasks, and answer quizzes correctly, which results in a grade from the teacher. In addition to cognitive evaluation, teachers also observe and assess students attitudes and behaviors during the learning process, focusing on the affective domain. Finally, when students present the results of their discussion, teachers assess their psychomotor skills. Grades are given to students based on their performance in these various areas.
