My SEA-Teacher journey has been a profoundly transformative experience, shaping me both as a future educator and as an individual. This program provided me with the opportunity to immerse myself in a vibrant educational environment, where I learned from inspiring mentors and forged lasting friendships.
Through observing classroom dynamics and actively participating in various teaching practices, I gained invaluable insights into diverse pedagogical approaches, significantly enriching my understanding of education. Additionally, my exposure to Indonesia's rich cultural heritage broadened my perspectives on life. The connections I established, despite language barriers, taught me that we can communicate and understand one another through our shared values.
Indeed, this journey has had a significant impact on my professional growth and personal development, instilling in me a deeper appreciation for the power of education and cultural exchange.

Through the SEA-Teacher program, my teaching competencies have undergone remarkable enhancement, particularly in areas such as lesson planning, activity creation, and classroom management. This invaluable experience has not only bolstered my confidence but also refined my English language skills.
Moreover, my passion for the teaching profession has deepened significantly, accompanied by a richer understanding of cultural diversity and educational practices across Southeast Asia. This journey has truly ignited my enthusiasm for teaching and broadened my perspective on the interconnectedness of education in our diverse world.
Here are the challenges i encountered:
Language Barrier: Teaching in a foreign language can be daunting, especially when transitioning from local languages to English.
Cultural Adjustment: Adapting to different educational cultures and practices may lead to initial discomfort or confusion.
Classroom Management: New environments present unique challenges in managing student behavior and engagement
I am immensely grateful for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity presented by the SEA-Teacher Project. This life-changing experience has profoundly shaped my professional growth and enriched my cultural exchanges. The knowledge and skills I have gained are truly invaluable as I embark on my journey as an educator.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to SEAMEO, UNISKA, and UNP for their unwavering support throughout this incredible voyage of exploration and learning. This journey has not only enhanced my teaching competencies but also deepened my appreciation for the diverse educational practices across Southeast Asia.
Here are my suggestions:
Enhanced Preparation: Providing more comprehensive pre-departure training on cultural differences and language support.
Increased Support from Mentors: Ensuring that cooperating teachers are adequately trained to guide international student teachers effectively.
