Jeni loves connecting with people and guiding them through self-discovery so they can achieve sustainable well-being routines while enhancing their personal development skills, allowing them to leave a positive impact on their family, team, business, and community. With more than 25 years of experience in health education, the coaching industry, and leadership development, Jeni has served the military, academia, medical community, and business owners across the globe. Jeni started The Standing Mountain coaching company focusing on start-up founders and emerging leaders helping them with sustainability and growth. When not coaching and teaching, you find her enjoying nature with her family in San Diego and Montana.
Catherine (Kate) Hardy teaches the Lifestyle Medicine course in the Health and Wellness Coaching Program and Exercise Physiology and Exercise Leadership in the Personal Trainer Program. She holds an undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine from University of the Pacific and a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University. In addition to several years spent in the fitness industry, Kate spent 12 years working at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, conducting graded exercise tests and providing patient education. She currently works as a Lifestyle Educator for Kaiser's Positive Choice Integrative Wellness Center. Kate greatly wants to see you succeed in your classes and invites your questions and comments.
Kelsey is a Professor of Exercise Science and Health and Director of the Health and Wellness Coaching and Personal Trainer Certificate Programs at San Diego Mesa College. She has over 15 years of experience in the health and wellness field, including group fitness instruction, personal training, health coaching, health education, and writing for professional fitness publications like the American Council on Exercise and IDEA Fitness Journal. Kelsey is passionate about teaching strategies and skills to improve the health, happiness, and quality of life of the students she serves (and their future clients). When she is not teaching, you can find her spending time with her five-year-old daughter, weight lifting, reading, or walking one of the many beautiful San Diego neighborhoods.
