To join, you need to be enrolled as a student at Mesa College and register for specific courses. Below, you'll find step-by-step guidance on how to enroll and register.
Apply to be a student at Mesa College here. Please select that you wish to "earn a career technical certificate without transfer" and
select “Health and Wellness Coaching” as your intended major/program of study.

We offer two Health and Wellness Coaching Program Pathways to National Board Certification. Review our Certificate of Performance vs. Certificate of Achievement page to determine the right program for you. Unsure? Email kgraham@sdccd.edu to discuss your options. Please note: you will officially apply to your specific program pathway once you are in EXSC 294. You do not need to select anything specifically at this time. Choosing your program now will simply determine the number of courses you enroll in for your first semester.
We run two cohorts a year, one that begins in the spring semester (January) and one that begins in the fall semester (August). Registration for the January cohort typically begins in November, and registration for the August cohort begins in May. A spot in the Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate Program is secured with successful enrollment in the course EXSC 294 - Health and Wellness Coaching. Please note that this course is heavily impacted and fills up quickly.
Once you've applied as a student and your registration time nears, you will receive an email with your specific registration date. Please register for classes as soon as your registration opens to obtain a spot, as classes do fill up. You will register for your classes on MyPortal.

Mesa College now uses student emails. Once you have registered for classes, all future Mesa, program, and class correspondence will come to your student email. Apply for Federal Student Financial Aid (free to apply) or contact the financial aid office for additional resources. We recommend all students apply as many students are eligible for grants to cover the cost of tuition.
As you wait for your program to begin, please check your student email regularly. Additionally, you may purchase program books in advance to be ready once classes begin. We will send you additional information the week before the semester begins.
