Population Challenges

There are numerous factors within a population and how it's defined. One of the largest challenges facing this site and it's goals will be how to quantify those factors and the compare them to the Call Volumes that Fire Districts observe.

Population Data

Call Volume data is readily available through the detailed information gathered by the San Diego Fire Rescue Department ECDC (Emergency Command & Data and Center). The same cannot be said for the data for the population within San Diego City limits, it's neighborhoods, Zip Codes, or the arbitrarily defined fire station districts.

Subjective observations are frequently used on this site, but sources are cited in any circumstance where corroboration or expertise can be found.
