Who is the creator of this site?

My name is Riley Oneal. I have been a firefighter for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department for nearly a decade.

What is the creator's motivation?

My hope is that the only subtext you find within this site are ways to more effectively improve the way we (as the San Diego Fire Rescue Department) think about our Call Volume. It is intended to be an exercise of exploration to the call volume within the department and how that call volume is affected by a wide range of factors. The application that was built for this site was intended to be made available as a resource for anyone. It is to help anyone dive further into the details of the call volume data that is released by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
