A deep dive into the trends and changes in call/run volume for the San Diego City Fire-Rescue Department
The articles of this site are an attempt to provide a unique perspective to the data that is published by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Dispatch Center (Emergency Communication and Dispatch Center). The hypotheses here are a case study into the policies, population changes and social events that contribute to changes in Run Stats for the department.
Data released by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department has been compiled into several formats I will refer to as Applications or Apps. These are a resource for visualizing the Call Data in new and unique ways in an attempt to gain additional perspectives on the Call Volume within San Diego City limits. ***(Though, this App is not yet built)***
These section detail how sorting the data with the Applications from this site can provide new insights to how many factors affect call volume and how changes to those variables can influence future policies and city infrastructure.
How population changes in San Diego may influence the call volume in areas and districts of the Fire-Rescue Department.
