Semiconductor Devices and Circuits Laboratory (SDCL) at Department of Electrical and Information Engineering in Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) is directed by Prof. Wonbo Shim.
Our research focuses on the design of energy-efficient and high-speed semiconductor memories. We pursue cross-layer research from device fabrication, TCAD simulation and modeling, memory cell layout to chip architecture design, thermal analysis of the memory system. Furthermore, we are actively pioneering processing-in-memory (PIM) solutions for efficient processing of modern AI models.
We are currently looking for highly self-motivated students who are interested in our research field (The students with experiences or interests in deep learning algorithms are preferred). Please feel free to contact Prof. Wonbo Shim (wbshim@seoultech.ac.kr).
