Family Financial Fun Nights (FFFN)
These events are designed for families and caregivers, providing engaging activities that teach basic money management skills. SDCEE has held several FFFNs in the San Diego area, most recently at Kempton Elementary School in Spring Valley. Thanks to our funders, we can provide snacks, meals, and prizes at no cost to the libraries. $martPath
This interactive program makes economic and financial education accessible and enjoyable for young library patrons. It’s free, and the California Council on Economic Education even provides stipends for participants who attend an in-service and use $martPath in their programs. Financial Smarts for Educators
This program offers financial literacy training sessions for library staff, focusing on topics like investing, retirement, homeownership, and taxes, all taught by accounting instructors with no sales pitch. Participants receive materials from the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, and we can provide snacks or meals depending on the session’s timing. You can find some recorded sessions on our website: [Every Teach Counts](Link to Every Teach Counts).
These are just a few examples of what SDCEE can provide for your organization, and there’s even more we’d love to share with you.
