SDA cultural, health, and safety orientation provided upon arrival in Havana.
Bilingual Cuban guide/translator for all guided tours, guest lectures, and cultural and academic visits
Lodging in casas particulares throughout Cuba (a non-state-run family-owned B&B)
Cuban Institutional affiliation and certification for your program with the Center for Psychological and Sociological Research (a research institute of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment).
Academic tuition for all lectures, conferences, and academic site visits
Traveler’s insurance with Asistur beyond general coverage provided by your airline, including COVID 19 coverage.
Two cell phones per delegation with local lines for local/international calls and internet use (initial $25USD per line included. Expenses beyond initial lines are considered a personal expense and delegates should plan to purchase recharge cards).
All delegation breakfasts and lunches, farewell and welcome dinners and four other dinners throughout the program (only 2 dinners not included)
On-site Director oversees your program itinerary and serves as a 24/7 emergency contact aside from your immediate SDA and CIPS staff.
All transportation for programmed events and experiences, including arrival/departure airport transfers
Any additional meals or activities not specified or listed as “included” or listed as “on your own” on your itinerary.
Incidentals (additional taxis, hospital deposits, calls, internet, or any types of loans).
Domestic/International airfare to/from Havana.
Personal expenses (passport fees, luggage fees, souvenirs, cell phone services, etc.).
