How can you design assessments to elicit evidence of what students know and what they can do? In this workshop we will dig deeper into standards-based assessment using proficiency scales, how to ask effective questions, and how these inform intentional assessment design.
Whether teaching in the classroom or remotely, some online tools can be very helpful to support the teaching and learning of mathematics. We will explore some tools that allow you to see student thinking expressed in a variety of forms (text, drawing, videos), build upon their ideas, check for understanding, provide feedback, as well as create conversations to build community.
