Vari Hall is home of the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office, the departments of Communication and Political Science as well as the Center for the Arts and Humanities and the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics.

The Communication Department is one of the largest majors on campus - 485 majors, 60 minors.
Students majoring in Communication go into a variety of fields including high-tech, entertainment industry, non-profit sectors.
Offers a combination of “hands-on” training and rigorous analysis. The skills that employers want with the tools to develop messages informed by research. We provide an education that does not train students what to think and do, but that helps them learn how to think and do for themselves.
Students find jobs in HR, PR, film, television, corporate communications, and social media.
The Department has an active internship program with a dedicated faculty member to teach this course for credit.
